Staying Current with ThetaHealing: Recertification Guidelines

ThetaHealing is a continually evolving technique and philosophy. To ensure that our instructors and practitioners remain aligned with the most up-to-date teachings, recertification is required, as outlined in your license agreement.

Recertification for Practitioners

Practitioners must recertify every 5 years. This can be done by:

  • Retaking a ThetaHealing seminar you've previously attended

  • Attending a new ThetaHealing seminar

  • Participating in an Instructor seminar

Recertification for Instructors

Instructors are required to recertify every 4 years.

We understand that retaking every seminar isn't always necessary, so we've created a recertification system based on active seminar days, depending on your current Instructor Training Level.

📅 How the Recertification Day System Works

Each Instructor seminar has a specific day count. You can recertify all of your Instructor seminars by completing a minimum number of active seminar days within a 4-year period.

Example:

If you are certified in Basic and Advanced Instructors (which equals 7 days of training), you only need 4 days of new Instructor seminars to renew both.

From there, we add 1 recertification day for every additional 2 days of training.

So if you’ve taken:

  • Basic (2 days)

  • Advanced (2 days)

  • Dig Deeper (2 days)

  • You and the Creator (2 days)
That totals 8 days of training.

To recertify:

  • You need 4 days for Basic and Advanced

  • Plus 2 more days to cover Dig Deeper and You and the Creator

  • Total needed = 6 recertification days

💫 Special Designations Reduce Your Recertification Days

If you hold special awards like ThetaHealing Master or Certificate of Science, your required recertification days are reduced:

  • Master: 15 days

  • Certificate of Science: 10 days

These can be completed by attending new Instructor seminars or retaking ones you already teach.

You’ll find a breakdown and examples in the table below to help clarify how many days are needed based on your certification level.

Understanding the Recertification Day System

Recertification is based on active instructor seminar days, and each seminar certification is valid for 4 years from the date you took it. Once 4 years pass, those days expire, and you'll need to complete new instructor seminar days to stay current.

🔁 How It Works:

You can either:

  • Recertify seminars as they expire, or

  • Accumulate 15 days at once to recertify all of your instructor seminars at once (12 days if you’re a ThetaHealing Master, and 10 days if you hold a Certificate of Science).

📅 Example – Tracking Expiry by Year:

  • In 2020, you took Basic and Advanced.

  • In 2021, you took Dig Deeper and You and the Creator.

  • In 2024, your Basic and Advanced certifications would expire. You would need 4 days to recertify those.

  • In 2025, Dig Deeper and You and the Creator would expire. You’d need 2 more days to recertify them.

If you take additional days beyond the minimum, they will be applied to your next upcoming renewals.

➕ Example – Staying Ahead:

Let’s say, in addition to the above, you take 6 more days of instructor seminars in 2024. Those days would cover all four of the certifications mentioned above and extend your recertification for another 4 years.

👍 Staying Current

Every time you take an instructor seminar, it counts toward recertification. If you’re consistently attending instructor seminars—once a year or every other year—you’re likely staying current without needing to track every detail.

🔎 Additional Recertification Guidelines

  • The goal is to keep you current, not to require you to retake every seminar.

  • However, if we feel a teacher needs a refresh on a particular topic, we may ask them to retake a specific seminar.

  • All recertification seminars must be taken within 4 years of the original seminar date.

    • If taken after 4 years, it will be treated as a new certification, and full attendance + a new contract is required.

  • When attending a seminar to recertify, let the host know in advance so they can prepare a recertification contract.

  • Elective seminars do not count toward recertification but can be re-certified along with qualifying seminars.

💫 Recertification Pathways

For ThetaHealing Masters (15-Day Path):

  • Attend 15 days of instructor seminars with Vianna, Josh, or Brandy within a 4-year period.

  • All previously certified seminars will be renewed for 4 years. (New contracts required.)

  • Example options:

    • Retake Intuitive Anatomy Instructors

    • Attend as a Teacher’s Assistant (space limited)

    • Complete your Certificate of Science

    • Take new instructor seminars like World Relations or DNA 3

    • Mix and match to reach 15 days

For Certificate of Science Holders (10-Day Path):

  • Attend 10 days of instructor seminars with Vianna, Josh, or Brandy.

  • All certified seminars are renewed for 4 years. (New contracts required.)

  • Example combinations:

    • DNA 3 and Planes of Existence

    • Basic, Advanced, and Planes of Existence

    • Any combination totaling 10 days, with new or repeat seminars
