Teaching In Person Practitioner Seminars from a Main Location into a Remote Classrooms

Up till now teaching Online or at a Main Location and being streamed into different Remote Classrooms was only possible if an Instructor that was also certified in the seminar being taught was present in the Remote Classroom, to help the Students with the Exercises. This regulation was to ensure that the Students in the Remote Classroom have a good experience and are taken care of as if the teacher would be in the classroom with them.

To make this teaching option more accessible the Board of Directors have started some testing on new ways to facilitate this Class setup. These are the guidelines which have to be followed in order to teach at a Main Location and stream the Teaching into remote locations.

  • A setup like this is complex. You need technical understanding of how to pull this off and you need experience, so that the quality and support in the classroom and remote location is provided in the highest and best way.

  • Do not try to do this if you have not had any experience because it is more complex than you may think. Equipment is moody so try your equipment before so you are certain everything works.

  • People expect a professional seminar, so make certain if you decide to combine an in-person and online experience that you are indeed ready and trained in it.

Instructors Requirements:

  • Certification level: Certificate of Science and the corresponding class which is taught

  • Teaching Experience:

    • The Instructor has to be a Certified Online Instructor

    • The Instructor has to have teaching experience with Online and In person Seminars.

    • The Instructor has to have taught the Seminar at least 2 Times in Person

    • The Instructor has to be kind and willing to help the students in all locations

  • Technical knowledge:

    • The Instructor has to be in depth familiar with Zoom, computers and even technical equipment.

Main Location Coordinator / Instructor Requirement:

  • The Main Location has to have a good and stable internet connection.

  • Technical knowledge:

    • Setting up Main and Remote Locations takes a technical effort. The Instructor has either to know themself how to handle this or has to have a Technical Person present so that the quality of the seminar is not reduced due to bad sound, video or such.

      • The Teacher has to use a state of the Art Headset Microphone. For example SHURE headset.

      • The sound has to go into the Zoom Stream so a good to amazing sound quality arrives at the Remote Locations.

      • The Camera of the Teacher hast to be at least a Logitech PTZ Pro or similar

      • In the Main room there has to be a TV Screen where the Instructor can see all the remote Locations.

  • Again, A setup like this is complex, you need technical understanding how to pull this off and you need experience. Do not try to do this if you have not had any experience because it is more complex than you may think. Equipment is moody, so try your equipment before, so you are certain everything works. People expect a professional seminar, so make certain if you decide to combine an in-person and online experience that you are indeed ready and trained in it.

  • If the Instructor teaches Online and the Teachings are streamed into Remote Locations, this is possible too, but we require the Instructor to stay present and interact with the Remote Class(es) as much as possible so that the Classrooms feel included and that they are taken care of.

Local Remote-Location-Coordinator Requirements

  • The Remote Location has to have a good and stable internet connection.

  • Certification level: Certificate of Science + preferably practitioner of the corresponding seminar Or an Instructor of the seminar being taught

    • If not practitioner of the corresponding seminar, the instructor has to brief the Coordinator thoroughly

  • Teaching Experience:

    • The Remote-Location-Coordinator has to be a certified Online Instructor.

    • The Remote-Location-Coordinator has to have teaching experience in Online and in Person Seminars

    • The The Remote-Location-Coordinator has to be kind and willing to help the students in their location

  • Technical knowledge:

    • Setting up the Remote Location takes technical effort, the Coordinator has to be able to pull this off as well as to solve any problems along the way.

      • The Instructor needs to be projected on a Screen or with a Projector.

      • The Sound has to come through the TV or the local sound system, so the students can clearly hear the instructor

      • A Microphone setup has to be prepared so the students can ask a question through a microphone easily.

      • A camera has to be pointed at the Students in the Remote Location, so the Instructor in the main location can see all students on his/her screen.

Teaching Online into Remote Classrooms

This option is as well possible. The same Rules and Regulations as above apply.
